Checked light green sloping funky french nail art

Another green manicure will finish of this month. Another funky french as well. I think it's cute and reminds me a bit of spring cause' the light and bright colors.

The base is China Glaze - Refresh mint., L.A. Colors Art Deco - bright green, L.A. Colors Art Deco - green glitter, Sure Promise (some purple), Paris Memories (white).

Btw. There are some L.A. Colors Art Deco polishes that I really love, however L.A. Colors Art Deco - bright green is not one of them.. It is so sheer that you only can use it on white or very pale colors which is really bad for a fine liner I think.

Green sloping funky frech with glitter top coat

Here's a manicure I'm ambivalent to. I LOVE the green polish with golden shimmer, ie. Tiger nail polish (a no namer and no number) but I think that the glitter in the nail design takes over and hides its magnificence.

And the polishes, this time with a photo aswell.  L.A. Colors Art Deco -green glitter. Paris memories -black. ZTIZ nail polish (the glitter with a clear pink base) and Viva la Diva -56. I think I used the green Viva la diva like undies for the green shimmer polish from Tiger, since it's a bit sheer.
However the real candy in my eyes is this on below. I like the massive amount of golden shimmer in it, which really shows on the nails.

Bright orange and dark blue nail art manicure

I like getting inspired by others. Found this on youtube for a couple of years ago and did the very same on my own nails. It is a real favorite of mine, and I've done it several times. Can't wait doing this again since my nails are longer now.

Bought HM nail polish -Dashing Diva on sale à 10SEK. Orange creme, not neon, but still very bright.

Then did the rest, like from the tutorial whit some small changes. I really like the combination of blue and orange, it's like if they emphasize each other. And the white dots actually makes the rhinestones look bigger, which is nice.

So except for HM- Dashing Diva, the dark blue is Kubiss - Shade no. 55. I've outlined the blue Kubiss with  L.A. Colors Art Deco - Dark blue. The white is China Glaze -White out. Rhinestones are 3MM and 1MM.

Comparison between base color in zebra nail art designs

So, here's the comparison between a black base and white lines zebra nail art and a white base and black lines zebra nail art.

The light condition is different in them but you get the picture. I think that the difference is hardly noticeable, one time I alternated the base color from finger to finger but can't find it now, but not even then it was a big difference. I guess if there is a bigger distance between the zebra lines than what I have done it might show.

I think that the advantage with a black base could be that it could be done faster. White polishes tend to need 3-4 coats and black ones 1-2 coats (in my point of view); minimizing the drying time and work load ;). Sadly I've lost my fabulous L.A. Colors Art Deco - white somewhere but I'll buy a new one for sure! :)

Black and white Zebra pattern sloping funky french 2

I like making Zebra pattern! They are quit simple when you get into it and can maintain a steady hand. This one is very similar to one I've had before, which I posted in this post. The polishes are almost the same, China Glaze -White out for the base, L.A. Colors Art Deco -black, L.A. Colors Art Deco - silver and L.A. Colors Art Deco - silver glitter.

The pictures are about one year old, but you can clearly see the discoloration on my nails. Nowdays I allways use base polish. :(

Note that this one has a white base and the stripes are black. It will come up a comparison post soon for the true nail polish/nail art nerd (like me).

Green sloping funky french with 4MM black opaque rhinestones

This is a nail art design that I really love. I think it's the kind you either love because of the colors, the 3Dfeeling and awesomeness or hate because the rhinestones are too big. I had no problem with the size of the rhinestones, and they rested on my nails till the day I removed the whole mani.

The green is Sure Promise, a light green with a golden shimmer. Can't remember if there's some undies or if I painted several coats. The black lines are L.A. Colors Art Deco - Black and the black opaque rhinestones are 4MM except on the pinkies where I have 3MM smaller ones (which unfortunately are a bit prismatic but what ever.)

How could I ever missed this!?

My interest in stamping is wider than it seems, yet I've showed no stamping nail art so far. However, I'm in possession of about 30 image plates, and I like the result when it's made good. My problem is that my stamping tool only has a small end (yes, I thought the black one was cooler, evidently that one was smaller..now I have to buy a pink) and the whole-nail-designs are way too small for my nails, it is more like if I can use them as a french mani than full manicure. Then I found out about this:

It is a large image plate (with for example, houndstooth pattern which I think is beyond gorgeous) and aswell the actual images are larger making it possible for a full manicure.

Then why does it has to be sold out?! eagerly waiting for the re-stock e-mail.. come on! :D

Retro feel mani with blue, orange and black

I must say I like this manicure. It is a bit load and bold and remembers me of the 80's (correct me if I'm wrong here) or something like that. Anyhow I think the color combination feels retro. I like the feeling of a sloping funky french as well.

I'm not 100% sure about the polishes but I think the orange and blue are HM nail polish and the black lines are L.A. Colors Art Deco - Black.

Brown gradient funky french with glitter

And when I'm not content with a nail art, I tend to ad something- So I added some glitter polish, also from Sure Promise.Improvement? I don't know..

Warning - Sinful color scandal

More posts with just text but this one really upset me. I read on Cactus blog about Sinful color stealing bloggers pictures, manipulating them, removing watermarks etc. Also they have stolen pictures with nail manicures which isn't even with one single sinful color nail polish in it! Like what? I think it's dreadful, boycott from my part. Links to bloggers with stolen pictures here and here with their full story about what has happened.
Share and hate! ;)

Brown gradient funky french manicure and blue french pedicure

Today I have a gradient funky french, in brown. I'm not sure I like it, it some how reminds me of raw meat?! I don't know..anyhow at the same time I had a blue french pedicure. All polishes are Sure Promise.

As I said before, Sure Promise don't have any number or name. Here are the ones I used for this mani/pedi.

Leopard nail art on gradient french mani

The nail art of today is this leopard one:

I remember that I wasn't content with it after I'd done it but I did get compliments for it when I had it on. On the white tips I have a pink very subtle, almost not showing pink gradient. The leopard spots are filled with neon orange and the dots are made with a dotting tool.

I evidently also took a photo of all tools and polishes used (except base and top coat). I also made some sort of tutorial of this but now I think it looked messy and don't think I'll post it.
China Glaze -White out.

Sure promise (pink)

French mani with purple rhinestones

Here's a french manicure, very similar to what I made in this post, except that the line is blue and the rhinestones are purple. This time the accent nails got large rhinestones on them.

The white is China Glaze - White out.  The black and the blue are L.A. Colors Art Deco (called "black" and "sky blue"). Sky blue I can really recommend, covers perfect and as always the brushes are thin and perfect fine liner polishes. Of cause I dropped it on a stone floor and broke the whole thing but I'll buy a new one as soon as possible! Rhinestones used are 1MM and 4MM.

Green corset funky french with yellow smiley accent nail

I LOVE corset nail designs! Here is one with green made as a funky french with a yellow smiley face accent nail on the right hand. My left hand was without accent nails.

And I love these type of smiley faces nail art designs where the eyes are rhinestones. It gives it some sort of 3D-feeling and they are as well always perfectly round. ;)
Polishes:
China Glaze - White out
L.A. Colors Art Deco - Black
Paris Memories - (the green)
Tiger nail polish - (no number, no name. A nail polish brand I bought in Denmark and is used for the yellow in the accent nail. It's the perfect nuance of yellow for smiley faces!)
Rhinestones: Black and opaque 1MM.

Black and white pedicure nail art with pearl rhinestones

Here's a pedicure nail art from two summers ago, I thought it's summer and do we use sandals and open-toe otherwise? First of all I have to say, I hate toes, my own and others. How ever I do look after them and they are as well always polished, and yes in the majority of time I have some sort of nail art on them. Very often I try to match my pedicure with my manicure, however the toe nails survives longer.

On the toes I have 1MM pearl rhinestones, black and white pearl as can be seen.
And here I've got the matching nails, however I can't figure out why there's no rhinestones on the nails? I'm sure that I had them but can't find a picture of it. Never the less, you get the picture.

Polishes used are China Glaze - White Out and Sure Promise (black).

Striped purple and orange nail art

This I made for quite some time ago, like two years ago. And it shows, my nails were really short. I have alternated so that my thumb is purple on my left hand and orange on my right hand.

So, the polishes used are all Paris memories. Also the thin lines, which I've actually made with an angled regular brush. The brush size on Paris memories also helped I guess, it's quite thin comparing to many others. I really like this nail art and I liked the color combination as well. Purple and orange are nice together.
