New years eve nail art

We have now reached the last of the themes in the Winter Nail Art Challenge which appropriately is New Years Eve. My nail art for today is very simple, a black base and silver metal beads placed with the help of a dotting tool. It's actually simpler than one can think to place them in intricate patterns like numbers etc. Try it! And now you wonder, will this be my actual new years nail art? But the answer is no, I have other plans.. ;)

Polish and materials used:
ZTIZ (black creme)
metal beads, silver

A summary of the winter nail art challenge will come later, but for now I'd like to thank Helena at Lacky Corner for being a great host for this challenge. :)

NCC presents: Dots - summary

Figured I could do a summary of how I've interpreted the theme dots in the Nail Challenge Collaborative. As I said before me and some other bloggers have a theme each month (this is my first month) and then we make 4 posts based on that theme. Thought it could be fun to do a summary after each month, because hopefully I will be able to keep up with this. ^^

Made each picture "clickable" so you can get to the original post if you like. :)

A quite fun thing which tracesofpolish pointed out is that I kept the color scheme quite the same until the last one, even though the last one's colors are pretty neutral. Feels like the season and weather inspired this month.

NCC presents: Circle pattern french manicure

Since the end of the month is cutting closer I decided to show the last out of the four dot manicures, which has been the theme for this month's Nail Challenge Collaborative. This time I have some circle stamping pattern, some pink flowers, also added some pink dots after a while (shall we say that the circles are dots too btw?!). Not sure about the pink dots, will post this without the pink someday, I actually like that better. Adding stuff isn't always the best thing. As it's holiday I almost forgot that it's Sunday, because that means that this also is my contribution for Nail Art Sunday, where the theme is free.

Basically I've used a nude jelly as a base and then I've stamped the pattern in white (two times on each nails because my nails was longer than the pattern) and pink with MoYou's special nail polish and MoYou's image plates. The result feels quite delicate and simple but still nice. :)

Polishes and materials used:
Sally Hansen - Sweet Tulip
MoYou Special Nail Polish (pink)
MoYou Special Nail Polish (white)
MoYou Image Plate 08
MoYou Image Plate N11

If you buy a nail art set, any of you choice, you can pick one polish OR one image plate of your choice if you use the code CEL246. Which polish or the number of the image plate you want, you write at the comment section at the checkout. You can use the code as many times you want, as long as you buy a nail art set. :D

NCC presents: black & silver skittelette with dotticure snowflake

Another post in the Nail Challenge Collaborative, this time #dots 3. As it is a skittelette it's a lot of things going on, glitter gradients, needle dragging and some kind of square pattern and the "star" of the nail art; the dotticure snowflake. Not so happy with my ring finger, feels like I could have composed this better.. I really like the snow flake, a simple way to make a cool nail art. Hope you like it anyhow. :)

Reindeer nail art

One day too late but here is my contribution for the Winter nail art challenge with the theme santa/elf/reindeer. As you can see I went for reindeer, with two Rudolph on each hand ;) I actually did a reindeer nail art for two years ago, and I actually think I like that version more, that usually isn't the case for me. Maybe it's the colors or the longer nails or that I was stressed this time. Another issue is the light, I usually avoid flash photos but this time I had to. But now, lets look at pictures. :)

Tinsel & ornament nail art

The Winter nail art challenge is starting to come to an end, but before that we have 3 themes left. Today it is tinsel/ornaments, I decided to get some general inspiration from that and created something glittery and cute, in white, black and gold. So first up a gradient in black and white and then matte white glitter and gold glitter on top (think that it's snowing;)) I also applied 2 metallic teddy bears. Before I added them I bent them to fit my nails better, attached them while the polish was sticky and then tc'd them smooth. Maybe the whole thing is a bit too much, but then again Christmas ornaments have a tendency of being "too much" quite often.. :) Enjoy!

Well, here you see the teddy bears slightly better. :)

Polishes used:
HM limited edition (wops forgot to take notes on the name, if you know, shout..)

Kleancolor - Coffee Addict, swatch

Shall we take a look at my current favorite golden polish? Kleancolor - Coffee Addict is my "go-to-gold", it is antique gold (brown toned) and also a 1-coater. Easy application and good formula. Can one ask for more? ^^
